Tapan K Podder, a qualified Chartered Accountant as well as Cost & Management Accountant started career in 1984 as Senior Principal Officer in Investment Corporation in Bangladesh (ICB). He rendered long 15 years services to IDLC Finance Limited from 1985 to 2000 as a member of Senior Management. He left IDLC from its position as the General Manager and joined Prime Finance & Investment limited (PFI) as the Managing Director. He served PFI until 2005. During the last 22 years Mr. Podder worked for the said 3 esteemed institutions in senior management positions and was deeply involved in both the money market as well as capital market activities.

Before joining at work, Mr. Podder did his Graduation and Masters in Commerce in Accounting from University of Dhaka with outstanding results all along his academic career.

To harvest the benefit from his long exposure with 3 of the leading institutions in the Bangladesh capital market, Mr. Podder established the stock brokerage house Alliance Securities & Management Limited (ASML) in 2006 to cater the need of the corporate clients. During last 5 years ASML could establish its image and strong footing in the market.

Subsequently, in order to play wider role in the capital market Mr. Podder took over the management of Alliance Financial Services Limited, a merchant bank to focus on Issue Management activities, at the end of 2007. Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Podder as the Managing Director, the Company has emerged as one of the strong operators in the capital market.
